Wanted / Re: CB for Newer Ultra Limited
« Last post by nomad on February 02, 2018, 09:11:40 PM »
I couldn't wait any longer, and I think I got a good deal on a FULL set of CB for my bike. Especially, the right hand switch, if you don't have one on your bike.
Hopefully, the parts are still in good shape, as the seller has claimed.
I am crossing my fingers. :pr:

Wanted / CB for Newer Ultra Limited
« Last post by nomad on February 01, 2018, 10:37:27 PM »
I am looking for a CB module with right hand PPT button, for my 2018 Ultra Limited.
Please let me know if you have one for sale.
Thanks

Somehow... Yes, somehow, I pulled the trigger on my most favorite color, BLACK 2018 Milwaukee Eight Ultra Limited.
The bad thing with Harley is, they dropped the CB, as an optional. I guess I will use the Sena system for now, until I pay off the bike.  ;D
Other than that, I love this bike.
Can't wait to ride her across the country with my baby.

Finally, My son bought his first motorcycle, a 2016 BMW Xs1000R. Even though, this bike is listed as a Sports Touring bike, but for sure, it will not have the comfort as my 2010 HD Ultra Limited.
Anyway, the young man wants to follow me crossing the country this year.  Normally, Late July, early August was the time for my trip, but I've decided to ride this June, as it will be cooler.  I hope that my baby can do it, as endurance is the key of this kind of ride.
For now, the initial plan will be the Southern route, S. FL, LA, AL, MS, AR, OK, TX, NM, AZ, turn North to UT, then across I-50 (NV) to N. CA (San Jose). The return route will be determined later, It will depend how my young son can handle the ride.
Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton would be nice for the way home, but that is still in the air.
A combination of hotelling and camping is in the plan, so I may have to pull my little trailer for more luggage, not decided yet! :)
Wish me luck!

That would be awesome!
I am in West Palm Beach/Jupiter area, and I am still working with a rotation schedule.
Let me know, if you will pass by this area, and I am on my day off, and we can meet for a cup of coffee or so.
Have fun and ride safe! O0

Nomad,
I am planning a solo "All around Florida" trip for April 1st (or very close to that depending on weather).....If you tell me where you are located I would like to stop by and say hello.

I forgot to mention that we will stay in CA for about a week and head home to FL.😀
I hope you join us, at least part of the trip.

Hi Nomad,
that is a tempting offer. My only reservation is the "August" part of going through the Southwest and the scorching heat....But I'm not out yet! :)

Hi guys!
.. and welcome from the Sunshine State.
In August, my son (his first bike) wants to follow my yearly crossing the country round trip from S. FL to N. CA. and back.
You guys are welcome to tag along partially or one way, if you want to.
I don't ride fast either, maximum is 70 MPH. :)
I have not decided what route I will take to get to CA from FL yet, but if you check back, then you will see.
Ride safe and have fun!
Nick

Robert, thanks for the reply. ><
I do not do rain or night either. If caught in a rainstorm I'll go through it slowly or wait under a bridge till it passes. I am a slow rider and have no intention of setting speed records so if I see something that might be interesting I will stop. For me, it's about the journey more than the destination.
I'll be sure to give you a holler if I'm in your neck of the woods.
