  • Again...I know...it's still way early for some, but to me, I was running out of time in every single year. :)
This year (2017) I may change my trip a little bit, put the bike on the truck or trailer it, if my son wants to go with me. :)
I know it is not "Riding Across USA", but I have been crossing the country for almost 18 years. My mind is still riding, but the body is not. ;D
Who knows? I keep saying this every year, and I end up riding the bike the whole way. :ls:

    Sturgis everyone!  08/04 - 08/13/2017
    Let's roll! :)

  • Do it right....rent and rv and pull a trailer. ;D

It gets harder as you get older but you will be able to ride once you get there.
That's a long ride for you in a short time and then wanna see the sights.
Do a little reseach..maybe one of those places that haul your bike for you ;D
If you did that then I would call you a wimp :)

  • I say to just take your truck and trailer with the bike  and go.
You won't be soo exhausted at the end of a 600 mile day especially if in the rain..most of it.

  • As of this time, I don't have a good truck yet, but that can be changed, soon. :)
...and the bike can be up in the truck bed, then here I go. :D

  • Well watch  you tube for all the fails on loading into a pick up truck to get a few pointers on how not to do it :D

Couple of times I have hauled my bike I used one of my six wheeler with a ramp I came up with that is 9 feet long and 56 inches wide but it is attached to the truck  ;D

What ever you do with your ramp make sure it is not slippery when wet...you will be on you ass in 1/2 second.

Get a crew cab and you could sleep in back:-)
