  • You make me want to get on my bike and cruise around the country immediately. v-p
For sure, you guys were having a good time.
I am wondering that you were pulling a trailer, so how much camping did you do in your trip?
    Thanks much for sharing.

  • Nick - I pull a cargo trailer by Escapade (you know extras for the wife). We quit camping several years ago - Like 25! . At that time I had a 1985 Honda Gold Wing and I pulled a Cycle Camp camping trailer. It was heavy but I had bought it for the right price! I am glad I sold it in 1988.

At my age (soon to be 75) my idea of camping is a nice motel with a hot shower and a TV that is in color! I am slowly slowing down the riding that the wife and I have done for many, many years. Love riding! Photo below was a view from the Blue Ridge Parkway! I was pulling a trailer but it does not show...

Photo below was when I had a 2002 Illusion Blue Gold Wing and was pulling another Escapade Trailer through Deal's Gap - US 129 Tennessee and N. Carolina!

  • Wow! That's impressive. :)
I wish I have more chances to travel like you.
I am currently trying to finish a tear-drop trailer for myself. Hopefully, I can zip zag around the country next year for a while.
Thanks again for sharing the photos.
For sure, I never get tired to see all the travel photos. :)

  • I sold my new trailer I bought in 2009 a while back to friends who had the same 2008 Pearl that I ride. They just completed a ride on Route 66. Maybe they should post here on RAU.

I did buy a smaller trailer of the same brand - Escapade only a lot older and a lot smaller. A friend who was having health problems decided to sell bike and trailer. Well, I bought the trailer.
