Riding Across America in the Winter Months

  • Has anyone ridden across America in the winter months? It is the only time I have available not sure if it would be a good time or not..

  • I too only have late december,january and early february off but to ride a motorcycle across America in the winter?WOW...I personnaly would say no.I was in San Antonio TX this past february on Amtrak and the town was shut down,it was a solid sheet of ice and this is the southern route...If you stayed on a truely southern route...you could make it but I would think there would be layovers waiting for the roads to clear up.
    Give it a second thought.
